Kumejima Town in Okinawa Prefecture has established June 12 as Deep Seawater Day as the deep water intakes bring water from 612m depth. In connection, we hold an event every year, though due to COVID it has been cancelled the past two years. Fortunately, this year the event is planned for Sunday June 12, 2022.

This year, GOSEA will exhibit a mini experiment related to deep sea water and host a crafts corner featuring deep sea creatures.
