GOSEA is founded
With technology transfer from ODRC, Kumejima Town opens chilled soil
agriculture houses on town land nearby the research center.
Within the grounds of the ODRC, Saga University opens the
Institute of Ocean Energy Kumejima Satellite to demonstrate
temperature difference desalination utilizing post-OTEC deep seawater.
