Ambassador Caroline Kennedy visits Kumejima
On October 11, 2015 the United States Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy visited Kumejima. In addition to visiting the Okinawa Deep Seawater Research Center and learning about the OTEC facility, Ambassador Kennedy also visited the local sea grape facility and other attractions on Kumejima. This was her first visit to an offshore island in Okinawa. We were pleased to be able to share a brief introduction of the Kumejima Model and GOSEA in addition to the facilities already in action.
We also received a message from Ambassador Kennedy at the Association’s startup. You can view the message via the link above (pdf).
